Configure Basic Work Codes

Prerequisites:

Review Work Code concepts and reference topics.

To edit or create a work code in the Codes section of the Setup area:

  1. Select a work code and click Edit; or click Add to create a work code.
  2. Name the work code, and enter an abbreviation for this work code.
  3. Select a color for this work code.
  4. Configure the General section.

    The table below displays commonly configured Advanced Properties for each type of work code. Additional or less settings may be required to produce the desired output. The system automatically populates the default properties upon selecting a work code type. An X in the table cells below indicates a selection:

  5. Configure the Issues section, if applicable to this code.
  6. Configure the Logging section, if applicable to this code.
  7. Configure the Authority section.
  8. Click Save.
