Outbound Message

The Outbound Messages feature is available throughout the application, see Outbound Location for a list of areas where you can access this feature. This section covers how to outbound messages across different areas of the application:

To outbound a message from...

  • Roster - click on the Position, Person, or Work Code to access the Outbound feature.
  • People Filter- from the People area click on the drop-down arrow next to the person to access the Outbound feature.
  • Advanced Calendar - the People Filter as previously mentioned is also available in the Advanced Calendar with the same outbound feature.
  • Multi-Day Schedule - from the Multi-Day Schedule select a job to enable the Outbound feature (top-left).
  • Staffing Board - from the Staffing Board select an allocated job to enable the Outbound feature (top-left to send a message across blueprints or use the pencil icon to send a message by blueprint.
  • Fill By Rules- “Outbound All People” is used for Outbound of type Message only and used to target a list of candidates shown on the FBR table.

  3. In Outbound Type, the default is Message.
  4. Required fields are:
    •  Send Over Next* - defines how long the system should attempt to contact the person, or how long it should attempt to fill the vacancy (if this was set to Outbound Vacancy).

    • Maximum attempts per submit* - defines how many times the system contacts the person or how many attempts it makes to fill a vacancy in the allotted time. The system will attempt to contact the person until a valid login is entered in the allotted time. This prevents subsequent attempts from initiating when the person accepts the call on the first attempt.

    • Message* - the message text box for the system to deliver. If the message is sent over the telephone Text-to-Speech is utilized to communicate the message.

  5. Select the contact methods and click OK to complete the messaging process. Use contact type settings to target a specific contact method.
