About Queue Auction and Bid Times

A Queue auction allows each employee a turn to bid for an auction item or items. Bid times or the absence of bid times determine when the bidder gets their turn to bid.

The Assign Bid Times feature is used to designate a time and inform employees when they are scheduled to place their bids. Assign Bid Times shows the bidder their designated time to place bids next to the target auction.

If bid times are not set, the progression of the auction is dependent upon bid activity.

If the auction shows Bid Later you will need to return to the auction when your turn comes. This means the auction was configured without bid times. Review how many people are ahead of you to gauge when you should log back in.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
When the employee’s turn activates:
The system generates a notification that is visible in the Contact Log upon login.
When an employee's bid time activates Bid Nowshows next to the Auction and the auction item Bid buttons enable.
When the employee’s bid time expires the system will move on to the next bidder. If the Auction includes bid times, be sure to log in during that time-period otherwise you will lose your turn.
